Day 4/365 [Weight Watchers]

One of my resolutions for 2010 is to lose weight. To achieve such a goal, I’ve elected the assistance of the Weight Watchers program. The idea is to consume any foods that strike your fancy without going over a set number of “points.” The maximum amount of points I am allotted each day is 26. As you can see from my log sheet, I can eat an array of different foods, so it’s not as if I’m starving myself or anything. So far things are progressing surprisingly well. I’m also incorporating 20-30 minute walks on the treadmill downstairs at the gym in my apartment complex every few days. I know this is something I will stick to and God willing I should be the epitome of sex in a matter of months!

Day 4/365 - [Hello there, Kitty!]

Behold the wondrous Hello Kitty menagerie that sits atop my computer tower here at work. On occasion I catch myself hypnotized by all of those beady eyes and smile less faces. I don’t remember when I became interested in all things Hello Kitty, but I would imagine it was sometime a few years ago. I was lucky enough to visit a proper Sanrio store once. That place has such a magical quality about it; I couldn’t help but feel like a kid in a candy store. My first purchase was a Hello Kitty contact lens case and mirror combo. From there, my obsession affinity for all things Hello Kitty blossomed and I’ve been collecting ever since.

Day 3 of 365 - [Geese: Too cute for the dinner table]

When I left work Thursday night I was greeted as per usual by these lovely creatures. Most everyone I know finds them to be such pesky animals, but I think they are gorgeous and cute as can be! Because geese are so protective of their young I haven't had an opportunity to get very close to them, but that is what the zoom option on my digital camera is for.

Day 1 of 365 Part Deux - [Rejected!]

I have obviously been off to a really bad start since there has been a lapse of 5 or so days since my last posting. Time to start over!

I had my car inspected and was very surprised to find out that it didn't pass. I have a broken tire rod on the right front passenger tire. Thankfully since I'm leasing the car the dealership will repair it at no cost. The rejection sticker has given me only minor trouble getting to work. (I work at a government facility and police at the front gate are extremely picky when it comes to keeping your vehicle up-to-date.)  I was given two warnings, but since it was by two different policeman I got away with it.

Day 1 of 365 - [Happy Christmas!]

Today marks the first day of the start of my 365 day photo blog. This should be easy to keep up with considering I can resort to taking lots of photos of my cat and the awesome river view from my apartment when creativity refuses to strike.

In between family togetherness on this Christmas day, I've been sucessful at sneaking away for a few minutes here and there to read. Dean Koontz is this really amazing author I disovered off my friend Amanda at work. I don't recall being this enamored with a book since I read 'Volume M' of the encyclopedia when I was fifteen.

So there we have it. Day 1/365 complete. That wasn't so bad!
